2011 Show Committee
We are delighted to announce that the Show Committee of 2009 and 2010 was awarded the TESCO Prize for Fundraising in the Tidworth Community Area Awards 2011. It is a well deserved recognition of the endeavour of all who contributed to two very successful Shows.
The 2011 Show Committee has some changes from last year but is again run by Robert East, the Show Chairman, with residents from both Everleigh and Collingbourne Ducis making up the Committee. Many people get involved on the day in running stalls and sideshows but the key members of the Committee are:
• Marion Bailly - Show Treasurer
• Crispin Haywood – Trade Stands Coordinator
• Tony Bradford – Arena Coordinator
• David Reed - Stalls Coordinator
• Simon Griffiths - Village Hall Coordinator
• Simon Curr –Website manager, Hightrees Organisation Limited
• Julian Price - PCC and Vintage Cars
• Lindie Rogers – Village Hall Manager
• Sally Matton – Fete Advisor and Teas
• Caroline Bouwens – Flower and Produce Show
• Caroline Lee - Dog Show Coordinator
• Richard Carter - Equipment
• Mike Cox – PCC and PC Representative
• Anna Cox – PCC
• Dick Edwards – Raffle Coordinator
The Committee has taken the successful formula from 2010 and made only minor changes to it. There will again be a variety of Arena Events with the main attractions this year being the Pipes and Drums of 19 Regt RA (The Highland Gunners) from Tidworth; this promises to be a rare treat, which is not to be missed. Another crowd puller and main feature is the Donkey Derby which should provide much enjoyment for all ages and is being arranged by Lindie Rogers.
There will be trade stands in from local businesses promoting their wares. There will be the usual array of traditional sideshows and, hopefully, some new ones too. There will again be some static displays such as old cars, lace making and spinning.
If anyone wishes to get in touch with any member of the committee please do so via the Contact Us Form on this website.
