Welcome to the Collingbourne Ducis and Everleigh Village Show 2011
The Ducis and Everleigh Village Show (DEVS) is run by an enthusiastic , award-winning, committee from the Parish villages of Collingbourne Ducis and Everleigh which nestle in Northeast Wiltshire on the edge of Salisbury Plain.
The Show will follow the successful formula of the 2009 and 2010 shows and will take place :
Collingbourne Ducis Village Hall and Recreation Grounds on Saturday 10th September 2011.
Doors open at 12.30pm, the Official Opening is at 1pm and the Show ends at 5pm.
The Show Opening will be hosted by the Show Chairman, Mr Robert East, and Mrs Jenny Mears from Help for Heroes
The MC for the day is our old friend Baz Reilly from Castledown Radio.
The Village Show has two primary purposes:
- Firstly to bring the villages of Collingbourne Ducis and Everleigh and their folk together on the second Saturday in September for an enjoyable day out for all the family, and...
- To raise funds for village clubs, societies and organisations which get involved with the Show and for the church and charities.
The Show will be full of things to interest all the family but some of the key attractions this year are:
- The Pipes and Drums of 19 Regt RA (The Highland Gunners) from Tidworth
- A Donkey Derby will feature throughout the afternoon
- The Flower and Produce Show organised by the Collingbournes and Everleigh Gardening Club
- Old and Classic Cars of local owners
- Tug of War competition for local teams
- Fun Dog Show
- Many traditional stalls, sideshows, rides, displays and trade stands and...
- Probably the best cream teas in the county!
